has good job and family over @ US, it is better to stay over. No
matter what, when something happens you are still considered as a foreign
person. No body think like that in India. It is our country.
I know what you are thinking..population?..pollution?...hot weather? Well,
we were there for more than 20 years. So, I think, we can live with that.
For people already @US, just try to survive in this situation

I think the same in homeland also. Becoz some of my friends are paid half salary.
"Ikkaraiku akkarai pachai" Job market is also kinda hard. But considering to the
corporate scandals, think US will not have that charm as it used to be.

History repeats itself, thats the theory . So I would hope the downfall in economy ends
sooner than later and it comes back up in a upward spiral.Its more of a hope than
belief I would say.But I have my confidence in the dollar as other americans and
feel it will bounce back well. I feel the world economy fluctuates in syc with
US economy. So I belive the Indian economy shall prosper only when the US
economy comes back up which we all hope.
Terrorist attacks...Well, USA was shaken and brought to its knees by the attacks
of Sept 11th and is fighting terrorism now. But thats the case still with India who
has been fighting terrorism for 50 years now. With all due respect, I dont think India
has things under control right now. Also, I feel India cannot afford to go for a war
with Pakistan. India has a lot to loose whereas Pakistan doesnt.
Conclusion : Statistically I feel still US is a much safe and better place to live than
India. I feel its better the world be led by a responsible coutry like USA rather than
any radical country.

My stand point will be "Homeland is the best place whatever be the case".
The reason is simple. When a person from other country comes and tells you
that "he/she is an Indian" it is very hard for us to accept the fact. The same
thing here though you get a citizenship/ GC here still your origin belongs to
India and you cannot become a "real american" but you can act like that.

The lesson I learnt - Unless you've got a close relation here who is really broad
minded OR you've got a 200% assurance of your job AND you've got a
guranteed promise of Green Card, it is unwise to come here. If you are a
broad minded individual, consider coming and marrying a GC holder or a
citizen. Otherwise, just wait.
